Sounds like a great way to start the month.

It was :-) It had some serious draw issues which put a damper on the experience, seemed to be plugged somehow. I don't think I have experienced that before on a La Gloria. Made me want to by one of these and have around: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Havana-Saver-Cigar-Accessory-Draw-Enhancer-Golf-Cigar-Holder-w-Pouch-Cigar-/390515773440?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5aec8dd000

It happens. Dryer conditions usually help.

This was stored in 67-68 % for 75 days. I have 69% Boveda packs in my wooden humidor, think I might switch to 65%.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial given to me as my "New Years Eve" cigar from my secret Santa. Just now getting around to it. Thank you Sébastien. So far I love it!

The draw tool you linked is only about 3.5 inches long.   Have a look at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Original-Maverick-Quick-Draw-Cigar-Saver-Awl-Enhancer-w-Free-Mini-Maverick-/270978947142

This one is much longer and includes a shorter one as well.  These help about half the time in my experience.  With some, nothing helps.

Thanks Kevin, I'm going to get me one of those :-)

Thomas, I've found that the MdO line performs much better at closer to 60% humidity.  Since I don't keep my humidors that low, I usually pull it out an hour or so beforehand (in the air conditioning) to let it dry out a bit.

Hm, I haven't had this problem earlier. But my humidor is probably more humid now than it has been. I'll try that next time, thanks for the tip Nathan :-)

Was entirely my pleasure brother, glad you've enjoyed it. I can't wait to see which CC comes out on top for you but, don't touch those Monte #2 yet, they are the only ones with only a couple of months on them and they do require a long rest time to be at their best.
