I am a sucker for pumpkin pie. I could eat pumpkin pie with every meal. So when all the Octoberfest beers come out, I go looking for Dogfish Head Punkin Ale. It's like drinking pumpkin pie. I love it.  Post Road Pumpkin Ale is pretty good too.

yum yum

Armin - You talked me into buying this Dogfish Head Punkin Ale.  Pricey beer! ($11 for a 4 pack) I had it yesterday with a G.A.R., and it was terrific.  Didn't get the "pumpkin pie" taste you experienced, but it was sweet, spicy and very full bodied and paired well with a full body cigar, so your recomendation was great!  Thanks!

I've never had the Dogfishhead Pumpkin ale...that is one I MUST try!

I did have the New Belgium Hoptober. That's really good.

I'm glad you enjoyed the Punkin Ale ... the GAR was a great pairing choice! Punkin is my fall favorite ... I will be flat broke until it is taken off the shelves next year.  :-(

But it sure is tasty!  :dancing:

Dogfish Head (from Delaware) does not make a bad beer.  My favorite is their 60 Minute IPA.  Excellent, But ya, pricey.

I think I may try the Dogfish Head next - I haven't had anything bad out of that brewery.

I had the 90 min not too long ago and really enjoyed it. They make incredible brew.

This got me thinking. Tomorrow, Akira and I will be going to the Monday night game to see the $9ers play the Saints. One of my favorite tail gating foods is brats/sausages simmered in some octoberfest ale with peppers, onions, etc. Mmmmm!

You guys have to try Samuel Adams Oktoberfest! The First Samuel Adams that i've EVER
enjoyed... Chill it in the fridge/freezer, pour it, then let it warm up a little bit... it releases
the amazing flavors in this beer! I sweer they need to ditch their namesake brew and replace
it with this one!
