« on: 08/11/2014 02:33 PM »
Had a Ashton Heritage Belicoso yesterday and got to watch this. Probably made the cigar seem better then it really was. Got to say, if nothing else the sunset's are pretty dang good.

Commercial Retailers / Pleasant surprise.

So last weekend before leaving town I ordered a couple 5 pack's from Cigar Federation. When I got home Friday night the package was here and there was a note explaining that they were 2 short on the 5 pack of Fratello corona's I had ordered so they substituted a couple Toro's and as an apology they also threw in a couple free stick's. A CF The Collective and a EZ Eminence. They will definantly get more of my business.

How's life? / Brew Day, Loving Life
« on: 10/31/2013 06:14 PM »
Brewing again after a slight time out and wishing I had done it sooner. Making A honey cream ale that is pretty popular among friends. So far so good. Preboil gravity was 1.035 wich gave me an efficiency of 90%, better then usual. :dancing:

So I was in the city different today completing punch out on the new over priced court house and I look across the street and there is a cigar shop, my lucky day. Well I cross the street and head in side and David, the owner I am assuming meet's me half way to the humidor and ask's what I like then without waiting for a response he ask's me if I have tried this yet, then that then something else and pretty soon I am looking at a fistful of smokes I havn't tried yet. the enviorment was very friendly and knowledgable and really seemed to have a love for cigars. If youre ever in Santa Fe definantly look for it. It's called Primo cigar shop and it is a nice place to enjoy a smoke and some friendly conversation. Was a nice diversion from an otherwise Ho Hum day.

General Cigar Discussion / what are you paying?
« on: 01/18/2013 05:08 PM »
So i stopped at one of the local B&M's and picked up a Drew Estate sampler of 5 sticks, an LP#9, aT-52, Undercrown, MUWAT, and JOYA DE Nicaragua 2. all the others are Robusto vitola. So this sampler cost me $40 and i was wondering if that was in the ball park with what you guy's are paying. I thought it was ok and i have been wanting to try all of these so im good with the price but still curiouse.

me and the wife, or should i say the wife since im typing this are packing to head out in the morning. the oldest son is graduating from boot camp. I have a new Jar Head in the family. really looking forward to seeing the lad. were leaving a few days early so we can spend a little relax time as well. the brother-in-law has a brewery tour planed and i am going to look for a couple cigar shops. really looking forward to the down time. :dancing:

i came home from work a couple days back and lo and behold there is a large box sitting at my front gate. the wife gives me a big kiss and the kids give me hugs and tell me happy belated fathers day and early birthday and point at the box. not quite sure what to think i carefully pull open the box and peek in. after the tears subsided and i regained my composure i took this picture. they must really love me. the cigars are not part of the package.

« on: 07/07/2012 05:22 PM »
i know it's a series V liga especial but im not sure if it's in  the data base and i havn't found it in the obviouse places like the Oliva site. it's 5 3/4 by about a 45 ring. is it the special S Diadema. the wife picked it up for me at the local B&M and there was no tag identifying it on the cello. hope the pick helps. what ever it is i am finding it quite enjoyable. just want to know so i can review it.
