Burn Lounge and Cigar Bar (Seoul, South Korea)      Submitted by Hot Stuff x 03/10/2012 10:07 PM
This is a nice cigar lounge with a few beers available (Guiness and Weihanstephaner Weizen on tap), and a modest selection of wine and spirits. Seating is mostly small tables with comfortable wing-back chairs. Nice big windows along the walls. Cigar selection consists mainly of Habanos, with some Davidoffs as well. They also had a box of Rocky Patel Decades and a box of Java. Cigar prices are in line with what the few cigar shops in Korea sell their smokes for...this means about triple what you would pay at duty-free prices. The owner is not very knowledgeable about cigars--but the atmosphere is nice, service is good, and the young lady working there is a hottie. They don't mind if you bring your own cigars, so this will probably be a regular hangout for me. To get to the Burn Lounge by subway, go to Noksapyong Station and go out exit two. Walk down the hill then take the pedestrian crossover tunnel to the other side of the street. Walk down to the bottom of the hill to Hoenamu-ro and turn right toward the Hyatt. Burn is about 150m up the road to the left, 2nd floor (across the street from the big church).
3 Alley Pub (Seoul, South Korea)      Submitted by chuck6660 10/28/2009 02:05 AM
My favorite esatblishment in Itaewon. An Ex-pat bar with an english pub atmosphere, with 8 beers on tap and a large iniernational selection of bottled beer. Great food, the original owner was an executive chef with Hyatt Hotels. Smoking is still allowed in bars/restaurants in Korea, so no problem lighting at the bar, they also have a nice terrace in the front with a great view of the evening dinner crowd, you have had to spent time in Itaewon to appreciate the nice "sights" walking around on a summer evening. I keep a humidor on the premises for myself and a few friends and the bar has several cigar cutters on hand.
